SBI YONO App Redesigning Task
The given task is to redesign the dashboard of the YONO SBI Android App.
Before jumping into the designing process, I tried to figure out the current pain points that I came across with the current design.
Scope for Design Improvement
As a part of design improvement, I will be solving the pain points mentioned above.
As an advocate of UCD(User Centered Design), I attacked the pain points from a user’s perspective who is looking to -
- View Account balance
- Pay instantly using UPI/IMPS etc.
- View passbook
- View and do investments
- Shop using banking app
- Recharge & pay bills
- Apply for loans easily
In order to solve the experience issues with the existing design, I did little bit of competitive research to get hold of the mental model. Research included apps like PayTM, ICICI mobile banking, Bank of Baroda banking app.
Post research, it was fairly easy for me to get in shoes of the user and approach the design process.
Before doing the final UI design, I sketched(digitally) some wireframes using Figma Jam.
- Colors: I used the existing brand colors of SBI
- Font: Rubik
